Internship Opportunities

Future prospective programs: We are currently working in building other projects in different countries. If you have an idea or a project that you will like to organize in a country where we don’t have a project, please submit a small proposal for review to info@tglearning.org.

Internships: We are currently accepting applications for various unpaid internships opportunities with TGL (internships may become paid depending on funding). Applicants from across different disciplines are welcome to apply. Please send resume and cover letter to info@tglearning.org for consideration with the subject line “Internship Position.” Current positions are the following:

Administrative Assistant

Some of the duties of the Administrative Assistant are:

  • Responding to telephone inquiries on a wide range of issues and handling them effectively;
  • Briefing the Executive Director and other members of the Board on the status of delegated tasks and projects in a timely manner;
  • Replying to public inquiries as appropriate or redirecting as needed;
  • Effectively manage the Executive Director’s calendar;
  • Maintain an organized archive of documents and information for potential use; and
  • Assist in special projects and other TGI endeavors.

Program Assistants

Program assistants (PAs) will work to enhance the quality of TGI internationally. PA are expected to assist in the following areas:

  • Arranging meeting logistics;
  • Preparing agendas and designing invitation letters;
  • Assist in other areas as needed;
  • Inviting and confirming speakers; and
  • Securing space and venues for our US and International projects.

Special Assistant

The special assistant would help the Executive Director with special tasks and projects. The special assistant might also attend conferences and meetings on behalf of the Executive Director. Another important role of the special assistant is to make sure the Executive Director is well informed of the organizations he visits and other individuals. The special assistant must:

  • Draft informative memos on organizations and individuals;
  • Conduct research;
  • Attend lectures and other events;
  • Draft thank you and birthday cards;and
  • Draft speeches and perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Web Manager

The Web Manager would design different aspects of the outreach campaign and TGL's image. He/she would also update the TGL website to reflect programs, events, press, and opportunities for site visitors to get involved and potentially donate to TGL.

Fundraising Assistant

The key responsibilities for this position are the following:

  • Building TGL database of potential funders;
  • Nurturing relationships and following up with potential funders;
  • Drive the business development process from lead generation to close, pulling in additional resources as necessary;
  • Oversee proposal/presentation development and writing;
  • Support the development activities of the Executive Director and other TGL staff;
  • Assist in the planning and overview of presentations/ pitches to prospective corporate, foundation, and individual funders; and
  • Identify and develop new potential revenue streams.

Other Positions

Grant writers: As a grant writer your role will be to seek out targeted funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals from private entities, foundations and corporations for TGL. In this role, the program assistant and the administrative assistant will provide you with support and research as needed.

Campus Outreach Representative: In this position you will be expected of developing a data base with student leaders and professors in different campus in the US and internationally. In some cases you will visit some universities and high schools in order to speak with students and professors in order to assist the campus and outreach representative.

Marketing: The intern in this area will help to Plan and execute the communications efforts of TGL to further the mission of the organization. This will include creating, distributing, and maintaining all written communications such as outreach letters, talking points and newsletters.

Recruitment and Outreach: The intern will assist the outreach and recruitment officer in creating and setting up appointments in campuses and other settings. The intern will be expected to attend certain sections and strategize with the recruitment and outreach things in the outreach campaign.

International Program Development Fellowships: This fellowships are exclusive for those looking to design an in-country project in China, Brazil, Turkey, India or Israel/Palestinian Territories/Egypt. 5-7. Fellows are entrusted with the task of organizing every aspect of the project from logistics to fundraising in consultation with senior TGL staff. Successful projects will allow the fellow to travel to that particular country and oversee the project with other TGL staff. Fellows must have experience living and working in the country where they propose to undertake their projects. TGL is looking for college graduates or for those with substantive working experience in the country of choice.
