As a young activist who engaged in various kinds of humanitarian projects and originally from Bosnia, a country ravaged by war and torn by ethnic strife, I see the great potential for Transformative Global Learning. What makes this program different from others is the opportunity for direct engagement and community service besides the lectures and intercultural activities. Living through war as well as much of the post war period, I was able to engage in many reconstruction projects in Bosnia. Only the ones that were based on a close and concrete cooperation with the locals turned out to be successful.

With clear goals and most importantly with concrete action steps, the Transformative Global Learning project will provide visible and measurable results in local communities, as well as enrich participants and members of the local community both culturally and professionally.
